For sending Kodak CTP laser heads for Repair & Return service. If you are not sure whether shipment is necessary, we recommend doing a free remote diagnosis first.
Technical Articles & Tools
1) Packing requirements
- Outer layer: ESD anti-static bag + moisture-proof bag + desiccant.
- Fixing: foam and/or brackets to lock the head in place and avoid secondary impact or movement during transport.
- Packing: double cartons (inner carton fixed, outer carton for cushioning; recommended foam thickness ≥ 30 mm).
- Labels: Fragile / Keep Dry / This Side Up.
- Papers inside: fault description, contact person, return address and a list with PN/SN.
2) Declared value & insurance
- Please purchase transport insurance based on the real replacement cost of the laser head.
- If the declared value is too low, any loss/damage claim is usually limited to that value and may not cover your actual loss.
3) Customs suggestions (Repair & Return)
- Suggested usage description: Printing equipment parts – Laser head for CTP platesetter, sent for repair and return.
- Invoice/packing list remark: Temporary export/import for repair, will be returned after service.
- If needed, we can provide a repair quotation and completion statement to support your customs documentation.
4) Recommendations before shipment
- First send us: model + SN/PN + fault description + country/post code via WhatsApp or the information form.
- We will confirm the repair scenario (A/B/C) before shipment, which helps to avoid unnecessary round-trips.
